Also called vanadium emerald or green beryl, this unique mineral looks a lot like aquamarine, but it has vanadium, not ferrous/ferric iron (causes blue to blue/green colour), nor chromium which gives emerald that vivid green.
These beryls also show a neon pinky-red under longwave UV, usually near the termination.
This piece is terminated; weighs 7.64 grams, and measures just under 2.5” (6.1 cm).
