Acicular (spikey), white balls of strontianite on gemmy calcite, from Pennsylvania.
The original card states McKellsville, which is on the border of Northumberland and Snyder counties, home to the massive Meckley's Quarry (no longer open to collecting) in Mandata and the National Limestone Quarry in Mount Pleasant Mills.
Very aesthetically pleasing specimen and the strontianite fluoresces and phosphoreces. Ex Mike Davis Collection (field collector).
