Stibnite is a sulfide and the main ore of antimony. While it is considered toxic, and can be harmful if inhaled or swallowed; it is safe to keep on your shelf or in your display case. Wash your hands after handling; DO NOT LICK, and keep away from kids and pets.
If brutalist architucture was a mineral.. this would be it.
Lusterous silvery-grey stibnite cluster from Jiangxi Prov., China. (Possibly from the Wuling Antimony Mine in Qingjiang). Long, striated, blade-like crystals forming radiating sprays.
I truly don’t think there is a front or back- theres just an angle that appeals to you the best.
Measures approx 5” long x 3” at the widest spray.
