Grape Agate (the trade name for botryoidal purple chalcedony) semi-polished sphere.
Lots of little light purple balls! Some of the balls are lighter in colour to tan. According to Mindat, each ball “consist(s) of thin radially grown "fibers" made of quartz.”
Grape agate comes from Indonesia; almost exclusively from Manakarra in West Sulawesi.
Weighs 2.8 lbs (1.2 kg) and measures roughly 4” across, so 8” around.
Will come with a plastic sphere holder; the wood holder is not included.
