These water-clear selenite crystals , reminiscent of the highest grade Naica selenite, were found in 2009, while digging a family water-well in Bermejillo, Durango, Mexico, but did not enter the commercial market until 2024. Distribution was via one company, making these stunning pieces *the* grab of that year!
This single selenite on matrix is like glass- it is so clear you can see the earthy matrix through the body of the crystal. Beautifully termination however there are 2 small dings at the very tip. (Selenite, a variety of gypsum is very soft- only 2 on the Mohs scale.)
Comes with a custom-milled clear acrylic base.
Specimen measurement is 3” x 2.5” (8cm x 6.5cm). With the base it sits 3.75” tall.
