Rosasite, Durango, MX (old collection)

Rosasite on matrix most likely from the Ojuela Mine in Mapimí, Durango, Mexico.

The rosasite is a deep teal (blue-green) stacked in small botryoidal towers, on a limonite matrix. The tiny clear assiciated crystals may be calcite or hemimorphite.

Beautiful contrasting colours! Can self-stand.

Measures roughly 3.25” x 1.25” x 1” thick.
