A beautiful and aesthetic small cluster of fibrous actinolite-included Quartz (Prase Quartz) from Serifos Island, Milos, South Aegean, Greece.
(Mindat comment “Prase from Serifos is colored green by inclusionsof fibrous actinolite, not hedenbergite (Hyrsl and Niedermayr, 2003)”).
The main crystal point is cleanly terminated with numerous smaller points radiating from the base.
Primarily mined in the 1980s-90s from skarn deposits, this piece has an old collection number on the bottom but unfortunately I do not have the old tag.
