Aegirine in Smoky Quartz; Malawi

Dramatic and gothic. Deep black aegirine crystals embedded in, and through, deep smoky quartz on a feldspar matrix.

Looks like a medieval "Morning Star” weapon (club with a spiked head).

From the Zomba region, Mount Malosa, Malawi.

Self-standing. Measures roughly 5.5” along the bottom x 3” deep x 2.5” high.
